About the role:

This role collectively supports the department to deliver its portfolio outcomes by providing a range of communication services .

Duties

• Work in a small team to assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of integrated communication plans and strategies.
• Maintain successful relationships with policy and program areas, anticipating and assessing their strategic communication needs.
• Develop communication material for various audiences, which may include social media and web content, communication and stakeholder products, videos and accessible communication materials.
• Coordinate the procurement and management of communication contracts and liaise with external suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
  

Required experience/skills

• Write, edit and proof-read.
• Develop stakeholder relationships.
• Analyse client needs and adapt appropriate communication solutions within budget, and relevant to the target audience.
• Research and make decisions based on sound judgement, expertise and knowledge.
  

Desirable experience/skills

• A degree or diploma with a major in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing is highly desirable.
• Experience in the delivery of strategic communication, marketing or advertising in Government or private sector is highly desirable.
